Sherie Scrutchin (Jackson) VIEW PROFILE

The information below is from Sherie's son, B. J. Warminski via Alicea Fletcher.

I have sad news. My mother passed away this past Tuesday. I wanted to share some information here about the service in case you would like to attend and we haven't yet been in touch.

It will be this upcoming Monday, January 15th at 2:30pm at the Celestial Funeral Home in Pasadena, TX (1922 Strawberry Ln). Richard is inviting friends and family over to their house beforehand for lunch. There will be a burial later in the week near New Braunfels, but the details have not been finalized. If you would like to join us prior to the service or at the burial, please send me a message and I'll share the details when they become available.

Sherie and I were good friends at MacArthur HS- the first 'hippie-chick' I knew.  She was out-going and fun and invited me to go water-skiing with herself and her parents- they patiently taught me how.  She was kind and accepting and I loved her red hair!  We lost touch after getting together a few times at UT Austin, but I could never forget Sherie Scrutchin!

I am truly saddened to hear of Sherie's passing.  I remember her as spirited, lighthearted, open, and fun.

During senior year, she and I were in "Music Appreciation" class, taught by Mrs. Flood.  One day before class, as I walked in and sat next to her, we started laughing... about nothing really.  Just being silly.  What I remember most about that moment was how infectious her laughter was, her humor contagious.  She was a joy to be around.

Sherie and I were flag twirlers together and we were always clowning around and she was so funny.  She did a Janis Joplin impersonation like no other, even done to Janis' scream!  I will always smile when I think of our time together. RIP my friend.
