DARLENE GAY LEMEN

Darlene Gay Lemen Darlene Gay (Hiltz) Leman from the Dallas, Texas area, born June 15, 1952 in Metairie, Louisiana passed away on October 12, 2009 at the age of 57 after a courageous battle with cancer. Darlene has gone to a better place to be with our Lord Jesus Christ, as well as her Father Milton Leman, Grandparents Leman and Messina and Niece Serena Murray who have preceded her in death. She graduated Valedictorian and Top Athlete from McArthur [MacArthur] High school in San Antonio, Texas. After attending Louisiana State University in New Orleans, she found employment in pursuing her life passion, Horticulture. She will be remembered for her love of animals, especially, dogs, cats and horses. Always a tomboy, Darlene worked hard and played hard, living life to the extreme. She is survived by her loving children Kelly Hiltz of McKinney, Texas and Brian Hiltz of Richardson, Texas, as well as her Mother Connie Harris of Austin, Texas, her Sisters Cathy Leman of Austin, Texas and Robin Plunkett of Auburn, California, her Brothers Bryan Leman of Austin, Texas and Kevin Leman of San Antonio, Texas, as well as numerous Nieces and Nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations to your local SPCA Chapter or the would be appreciated. The Memorial Service will be held at Ted Dickey Funeral Home, 2128 18th Street Plano, Texas Sunday October 18, 2009 at 3pm. Father McBride will officiate the service. The Family would like to extend their gratitude and thanks to the Hospice Plus Group, the staff of Parkland Memorial Hospital of Dallas and The Baylor Hospital of Irving.
