Miss Rasor was one of those teachers that was very special to me & my family. Everyone used to joke about how long she had taught. Miss Arlene, as my family always called her, taught my mother in the late 1920's when she first began teaching & then later all three of my older sisters in the 1950's. She was my Sunday School teacher in 3rd grade at Coker Methodist Church & then I had her for Civics our Senior year. I saw her occasionally after she retired. She married late in life after she retired & really seemed to enjoy the last years of her life. Kay & I went to her funeral when she passed away. Miss Arlene was a great lady.
