I graduated in 1968 I wasn't an athlete but had Coach McManus sometimes in P.E., also I had him as a history teacher. He was the youngest of the Coaches. I remember on bad weather days Coach Terry Coach Carter and Coach McManus let us see movies, getting out the old films of Warren McVae from a San Antonio High School that made it to the pros in his high school football games and how he exceptional he was and why the colleges all wanted him. Coach McManus was only seven years older than us, it seemed like a big difference in age back then, now not so much. The memories on the obituary page are a must read. He was liked and respected by everyone.

RIP Coach. The lessons learned on the practice field made me a better person.
