Robert Cuddy

After high school, I attended Lamar University on a football scholarship and yes Coach McManus was my coach. I had a great time in college and after graduation,& my commission in the Air Force I spent 8 years as and Air Traffic Control Operations Officer. In 1983 I joined the Federal Aviation Administration as an Air traffic Controller, and spent time in Houston, Lake Charles, LA. a couple of cities in Iowa, and eventually ended up in Wichita, Kansas. I retired from the FAA in 2009. And now I give monthly recurring training to controllers as a Federal Contractor with Raytheon.

I divorced in 1996 after almost 20 years of marriage, and we had 2 daughters. Cassie now 31 lives in Iowa close to her mother, and she has blessed me with 3 grandchildren. Mandy (27) lives close by with her "significant other" here in Wichita.
I've started to travel a bit, and have been to Mexico numerous times. I enjoyed a cruise of the Greek Isles, Egypt, & Turkey in 2008. This year I was able to join my sister and 11 others on a trip to Africa. It was amazing, and being out in the middle of thousands of animals during the "Great Migration" is hard to describe. Lions, Elephants, Rhinos, and more...just awesome!!
I was back down in San Antonio a couple of years ago, and am amazed at the growth of the city. I hope to start making it back on a more regular basis.After the Class of 1970 had their reunion, which I attended also Suzi Bibb and I struck up some conversations a few months after that, and Behold .... what it turned into! We got married Nov 30th 2013. We are currently back in Kansas, but looking to sell this place and get back to Texas!

Mostly minor football stories that usually had Coach McManus and Gary Sheets involved somehow! Coach Baker once asked me to go the the 7-11 and get him some Beechnut (Big tobacco chewer, Ha! What did I know back than?), I figured that out after he told me.... and I brought him GUM!! I don't think he ever asked me to run that errand for him again, EVER!!!!
